CMT Music Awards 2018: Everything You Should Know | Billboard News

The 2018 CMT Music Awards are Wednesday night June 6th and you’ve come the right place for all your coverage. The night will be filled with all-star performances. We’ll see Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and our country regulars, but also some onstage appearances from another The Voice judge, Kelly Clarkson, who will be premiering “American Woman” and even the Backstreet Boys are bringing some new heat to CMT. And those performances won’t be the only ones with new music. Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, and more are premiering songs for the first time. Margare Comeaux, the executive producer of the CMT Music Awards, said in a release: “CMT music fans have an unquenchable thirst for music discovery. This show features the freshest and most exciting summer songs ever presented on one stage.” Sounds hot! When it comes to the honors themselves, the nominees for the Nashville award show are lead by FGL, Jason Aldean, and Carrie Underwood. They all scored four nominations each, with Carrie’s resume having the most CMT wins to date. To see how this all plays out, you can catch the awards show Wednesday Night on CMT at 8pm ET and tune in to me at Billboard.com tomorrow for all the updates as they happen. For Billboard News, I’m Tetris Kelly.
